The Borderlines Project
In 2003 the Gallery of Photography, Dublin and DARA Training and consultancy conceived a significant research and training project to help address the legacy of the conflict. The Borderlines Project set out to listen to, and collect personal testimonies from over 100 people, reflecting a diverse range of backgrounds, genders and age groups along the length of the border of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The Project produced a travelling exhibition, a substantial book and an archive of 100 stories along the border of the island of Ireland

  • DARA worked with the Spiral project in Dundalk Institute of Technology completing an intergenerational story telling project under the Peace 111 programme between 2010 and 2011.

  • In 2010\11 Dara worked with the project addressing the Unionist\Protestant community in Co Leitrim
